Chevrolet Silverado 1500

As the base Silverado model, the 1500 offers a lot for its drivers. With modern looking interior and larger infotainment screen, a restyled front end, and a new ZR2 model with a focus on off-road capabilities, the 1500 is a standout truck.

While there is an abundance of features throughout the Silverado 1500, we want to highlight five key elements.

The Silverado 1500 is a unique compared to its two brethren because it offers the most engine options. Where the Silverado 2500 and 3500 have two powertrains, the 1500 offers four.

    Turbocharged 2.7-liter 310 hp four-cylinder engine
  • 5.3-liter 355 hp V8 engine
  • 6.2-liter 420 hp V8 engine
  • Turbocharged 3.0-liter 277 hp six-cylinder diesel engine
  • Trims

Another highlight is its trims. The Silverado 1500 offers nine trims with varying features where the 2500 and 3500 have four and five respectively. These trims include the Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ, and High Country.

    Silverado ZR2

The ZR2 is the Silverado 1500's latest model focused on off-roading. This model offers Freeland drivers 33-inch all-terrain tires, off-road-specific adaptive dampers, paddle shifters, and more.

    Hill Descent Control

Inside the Custom Trail Boss, a unique trim for the Silverado 1500, is hill descent control. Not found in other trims, this tech allows drivers to easily control their trucks when descending a hill on the highway or trail.

    Cab and Bed Configuration

All full-size trucks offer several cab and bed configurations, but the Silverado 1500 stands out as it offers a four-door crew cab with full-size rear doors and a larger back seat. Generally, a full crew cab has a smaller rear seating area.

    Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

The next Silverado level is the 2500. This step-up offers residents of Bay City increased hauling at around 4000 pounds and a towing capacity of 14,500 pounds when properly equipped. While the increase in strength is impressive, this is not the only highlight of this model. Five key features include:

    Advanced Trailering System

All Silverado 2500HD models come equipped with Chevrolets Advanced Trailering System. With this system and the available app, drivers can receive custom trailering profiles, pre-departure checklists, trailer lighting diagnostics, and more.

    Surround View Camera System

This feature is available in the High Country trim but only in the Silverado 2500 and 3500. With eight available cameras installed, drivers can receive 15 viewpoints when parking, driving or hitching their vehicle.

    LT Trim

For tech-savvy drivers, the LT trim is the perfect option. The LT is a mid-level trim and offers a larger touchscreen, onboard Wi-Fi, and satellite radio.

    Base Trim

All base trims of the Silverado offer abundant features. But the 2500 HD's base trims offer two unique features that the others don't. These include an automatic locking rear differential and a two-speed electronic transfer case.

    Multi-Flex Tailgate

All trim levels of the Silverado 2500HD receive a Multi-Flex Tailgate. This feature offers traditional tailgate functionality alongside five unique positions, creating unmatched versatility and convenience for any scenario.

    Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD

The last Silverado level is the 3500. With the most power available this model can haul and tow anything you throw at it.

    USB Ports

The 3500 comes standard with two USB ports.

    Power Windows

This may seem small but the Silverado 3500 base trim is the only one with power windows.

While this model shares the same engine options as the 2500, the 3500HD comes with a dual rear-wheel setup to increase the maximum towing capacity.

    Bench Seating

In the back of the Silverado 3500HD are 40/20/40-split folding bench seats. This allows increased room in the bed.

    HD Rearview Camera

For ease of use the 3500 comes with a high-definition rearview camera with hitch guidance.
